IN THE EYES OF: RENATA POLJAK - EP. 2

Art Explora
Venice
Discover the second episode of "Through the Eyes Of", featuring Croatian artist Renata Poljak. Known for her use of diverse media such as photography, installation, film and video, Poljak creates works rich in metaphor, exploring contemporary political, economic and social issues. His videos and installations fuse documentary techniques with fictional narrative to address migration, both historical and current. As part of the programme residency program at the Art Explora festival, Renata Poljak developed Songs for the Sea, a project that explores the interplay between philosophy, science, utopia and mythology linked to the sea. The work also addresses ecological challenges through video installation and performance, highlighting the role of song in Mediterranean myths. By examining marine life, such as plankton, her work poetically navigates from the microscopic to the vast. Artist: Renata Poljak Produced by: Art Explora Location: Zagreb
