Woven Echos dissects the intimate and evolving relationship between women and weaving, bridging domestic craftsmanship with broader social narratives. As part of the public presentation, Lori Lako extends this dissection by showcasing the scanned textiles, visually bridging the experiences of women in Durrës and those in Italy. The presentation highlights how these fabrics, carrying the imprints of personal histories, become testimonies of migration, labor, and cross-generational exchange. Through this act of preservation and reinterpretation, Lako emphasizes stitching as a subversive strategy of resistance within the domestic sphere—a quiet yet powerful assertion of agency against societal constraints.
