"'Vestiaires' - Season 14" is a project conceived for the 2024 Cultural Olympiad and sponsored by the series' Marseilles-based scriptwriters, Fabrice Chanut and Adda Abdelli. Since 2011, the Vestiaires series has used a light, humorous tone to highlight the daily lives of swimmers with disabilities, while breaking down stereotypes.
Based on the original idea for the series, Alcimé, the organizer of the Marseille Music&Cinema Festival, organized workshops for 300 elementary school children from various districts of Marseille, during which they took part in writing the scripts for season 14 of the series. The pupils also took part in the production of an educational documentary on the issue of disability in sport and, more generally, at school.
The final session of the "Vestiaires - saison 14" project is organized as part of the Art Explora Festival. During this event, the actors and actresses of the series will read aloud some of the scripts written by the students. The reading will be preceded by a screening of episodes featuring disabled athletes. The session will close with a screening of the documentary produced as part of the educational workshops.
