On the Golan Heights, in Galilee and in Jerusalem, it is forbidden to pick za'atar (thyme) and akkoub (artichoke). Blending documentary and fiction, immersing ourselves in the fragrance of za'atar or the spiciness of akkoub, Foragers explores the dramatic effect of Israel's nature preservation laws on the timeless traditions of Palestinian culture and on the pickers of wild plants.

This film is part of programme "We Knew How Beautiful They Were, These Islands" proposed by curator Amanda Abi Khalil (Temporary Art Forum) as part of the " UNDERTOW / Undertow" exhibition pavilion in the Art Explora village.
