Millennial Cities at the Art Explora Festival

The Millennial Cities experience was developed in 2017 by Ubisoft using data from Iconem, a startup specialized in 3D scanning of heritage sites. Ubisoft created an original virtual reality experience that provides a realistic and emotionally rich immersion into six monuments destroyed or threatened by recent conflicts or natural erosion in Syria, Libya, and Iraq.

Millennial Cities was specially readapted by Ubisoft for the Art Explora Festival.

Ubisoft supports and shares the values of Art Explora, as well as its mission of offering cultural and artistic experiences to a wide audience. Ubisoft has already developed video games set in the Mediterranean region, providing new and exclusive immersive experiences specifically designed for the Art Explora Festival.

Ubisoft showcases how their expertise in video game creation can bring substantial added value to the world of culture and art, while paying tribute to the Mediterranean cities that serve as backdrops for several Assassin's Creed franchise games, such as Assassin's Creed II (Venice), Assassin's Creed Origins (Alexandria), and Assassin's Creed Odyssey (Athens). This partnership also allows Ubisoft to continue its mission of making history an accessible playground for all.
