Zambulla A invites us to reflect on the tension between the desire for freedom and emotional rootedness, suggesting that our deepest bonds often define the most important decisions in our lives.
On the way to a work inspired by the sea, Alessandra García reveals a fragment of her process of experimentation and artistic research. La zambulla A is a performance that addresses the tension between the desire to escape and the ties that bind us to our city, when emotional, sentimental and familial connections outweigh the desire to leave.
García uses this piece to explore the impossibility of freeing ourselves from the emotional commitments that shape our decisions. The sea, in her work, symbolizes a distant horizon, a metaphor for the inaccessible when human relationships limit freedom. The performance uses the body and the symbolism of water to represent an involuntary stagnation, a dive frustrated by the strength of personal ties.
