Description of the work
Noam Rezgui's project Infiniment petit is a transmedia work that links video games, sculpture and performance. It is a continuation of work begun several years ago. The gameplay sequence he presents is the interwoven narrative of a fictional community evolving in underground tunnels where fragments of stories resonate. The video game, and the performative moments devised by the artist, allow spectators to enter galleries partially invaded by strange bioluminescent organisms.
We discover an ecosystem made up of singular characters, plants and sounds intimately linked to the memories of this community. The accompanying sculptures, present in the video game, provide access to and understanding of the story hidden in these galleries.
The artifacts and fictional beings conceived by the artist, mixed with real elements from Hangar Y and the underground quarries of Meudon, provide clues and keys to understanding and exploring this multi-faceted universe.
