The video Synchronized Serpentis the result of a collaboration between Cecilia Bengolea and Jamaica's national synchronized swimming team, coached by Olympic gold medallist Olga Novokshchenova. Inspired by Jorge Luis Borges' book of imaginary beings, chimeras from different cultures are re-composed to create new ones. In the video, figure and background dance in harmony. Hybrid creatures synchronize in the Caribbean Sea at the Alligator Head Foundation in Jamaica. The sound is a mix of deep-sea creatures, aquatic mammals and jet skis.

L'Ombre du Syncronised Serpent is a performance and video installation conceived and performed by Cecilia Bengolea. Projected on a led wall, the video Syncronised Serpent, while Bengolea dances in negative on stage, dances choreographed in the water for Jamaica's syncronised swimming team. The figure on stage in a completely black costume-mask stands out from the background like a phantom shadow escaping from the video.
